Why do we need more people on Thursday?
A: The ownership at TRF is clamping down hard on exceptions (which we always have been) to the rules and are requiring an exhoribant amount of money (far in excess of what we collected last year) to reserve space at TRF as we have in the past. There's some hope that in the future once TRF transitions to full time ownership instead of the court appointed management it currently exists under.
We can't pay that fee - so just like last year, we're relying on our attendees to show up on Thursday morning (time to be settled as we get closer - typically 8 am) and help us 'claim' space. Lay down your tents, park your RVs, and help us lay out and setup our canopies and wedding tents. We had around 25 people on Thursday and we had all the space we needed for our setup - and we got everything we needed setup in time for most of our guests arriving on Friday evening.
What is the registration fee going towards this year?
A: We finished in the black last year (yay!) which means everyone got reimbursed for their expenses. We have not made any large purchases over the summer and will likely refrain from that this year. Inflation is a real concern for food costs since we're expecting more people this year.
Just like last year, we're going to be offering meals on Thursday (Dinner), as well as Friday Lunch - in addition to Friday and Saturday dinner that we already do. Since we're asking for more people to come up on Thursday, it's only right that we feed you!
Keeping in mind the unfortunate inflation situation, we've increased the fee this year to $30.
TLDR: What is the clan providing this year?
A: We are providing the following:
Dinner Thursday
Lunch Friday
Dinner Friday night (street tacos!)
Dinner Saturday night (after the fireworks - chicken soup)
Food canopy, for our meals
Fire pits, and firewood
Heated activities tent
What do I need to bring?
A: Everything else! Seriously though - please see our Packlist page for some specifics!
I still need to buy a Festival ticket and camping pass right?
A: Yes, you need to purchase your tickets to the festival and your camping pass. TRF this year is selling a single pass that includes festival admission for Saturday and Sunday, as well as your camping pass, the Stay and Play Pass.
Stay and Play:

The minimum requirements for admission to the Campground is a Camping Pass and admission to ONE day at the festival.
Are there rules in the Clan campground?
A: Absolutely. Please see the Rules page.
When can I arrive?
A: The Clan organizers will be onsite on Thursday the 12th (the campground opens at 8 am this year). The camping area is open until noon on Monday. Because of our unique situation, and because of how quickly the campground filled up last year - if you want to setup your tent or RV near us, we recommend arriving on Thursday. If you arrive Friday, you may have a difficult time setting up with or near us. RVs, doubly so.
I've just gotten past the gate at the TRF Campground, now what?
A: We will be coordinating arrivals though our Telegram and Facebook group chats. We will also have a phone number to call if you're not on those groups.
On Thursday, just come to where we're setting up. We will have the Map updated with our location - but we expect to be in the same general space we have been in years past.
For RVs on Friday, we recommend setting up in section 6 if there's space. It's not that far of a walk to where the Clan normally sets up.
For Tents on Friday, you'll probably still be able to find space in the trees nearby - even if it's not right where we're setting up.
We will still have both our lit Rainbows, so you'll be able to find us.
Please note: all attendees will need to check-in at the Registration Canopy like last year. If you're camping in our space, please check-in first. If you're setting up elsewhere, please get setup first before stopping by the check-in.
I'm bringing an RV, what do I need to do?
A: TRF not allowing us to reasonable reserve a space this year make RVs more of a challenge. We definitely want RVs to show up on Thursday to help claim our space (you can always drop off/have it delivered Thursday and then arrive later!). However, on Friday, we're going to have to play it by ear to determine if we can host your RV in our space, or if you'll need to go to Section 6 to setup.
If you indicate that you're going to be in an RV in your registration, Jason or Erik will reach out to you to coordinate when your RV is arriving. You'll be given a number to call when you arrive so we can give you a heads up on if we have space still for your rig.
Unfortunately because we are not able to reserve space this year, we can't promise space, and we can't plan ahead beyond Thursday.
There are no hookups in the clan site - you will be 'boondocking' for the duration. There is potable water available on the main road of the campground - you can fill up there after you get into the campground. There are hoses there as well in various lengths and conditions - be prepared. There is an RV dump station at the front of the campground that is available for a fee ($40 per use - they accept CC). Be warned that the line for the dump station can be long on Sunday afternoon/evening. Generator use is OK.
Keep in mind that much of the area is not going to be perfectly level, so bring any levelling equipment you need. If you're renting an RV - inquire of the owner if there are levelling blocks included!
We will have a large water tank on hand to fill any RV tanks that go dry. We also will have a 36-gallon tank tote for emptying full waste tanks. It has an arm that hooks onto a trailer hitch so we can pull with one of our trucks. It will be available for use in case your tanks get full - HOWEVER - you will be responsible for paying the dump station fee ($40) at the TRF dump site.
What is cell service like?
A: Inside the festival it can be slow but it's generally always OK in the campground itself.
